THE OFFICIAL RULES

Watch your school's newsletter with information explaining the bookmarks you will receive from your child, the purposes and prizes from the program.

•  APPLE CORE is an After School reading incentive program. Time spent reading in Safekey can also be counted.
•  Encourage older siblings to read to younger ones or to listen to their reading.

•  Once a bookmark has been completed and your child's teacher signs the bookmark, they will turn the bookmark into the school who will keep track of the total hours for the school using the formula provided by the SE Region.
•   The school will turn the bookmarks in for the children to be entered into the drawing for a computer.
•  Once a child turns in a bookmark, the will be given a new one. The more a child reads, the more bookmarks they will complete and the more chances they will have to win a computer.
•  There will be an event held in May/June each year to recognize the three winners of the drawing for the personal computer, as well as to announce the school with the most reading hours that will receive the computer lab.
