The APPLE (All People Promoting Literacy Efforts) Partnership is expanding its literacy program to the fifth grade during the 2007-2008 school year! Designed to encourage reading, the APPLE Core program will now count the reading efforts of children in grades Kindergarten through fifth. Monthly incentive programs reward reading accomplishments, and at the end of every school year, the school with the most reading hours wins a complete computer lab with software, sponsored by PBS&J.
